Today’s first reading is the prophesy of Jeremiah of the return of Jews to Jerusalem after exile. Joyous return! Even the response to the Psalm says “The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy”
In the second reading, Paul wrote to the Hebrews about what it takes to be a priest. They should offer sacrifices for not only their sins, but the sins of the people. I pray for an increase of vocations every day.
In the gospel, a blind man begs Jesus for mercy. When Jesus asks the man what he wants, the man says sight! Jesus asks heals him and says to go on his way. The man who can now see, follows Jesus.
