December 4: fidget tree
Today’s toy is a knittted Christmas tree with beads so it works as a fidget toy. Design by Craftingintx. Using Bernat velvet and size 10 (6 mm) knitting needles, this was quick to make. I used a crochet hook to put the silver beads on every other row. I would decrease one stitch in from the side on each side every other row to make the triangle shape. Using the Bernat velvet makes it a soft toy as well. Very tactile! I used worsted weight acrylic for the hanging loop because I thought about using a key ring as well.
