OT means ordinary time. The first reading is after Solomon angers the Lord. The Lord tells a prophet that the people of Israel will be separated. He is diminishing the power of Solomon’s people. I like when the reading and psalms go together in theme. Today the response is “I am the Lord, your God, hear my voice” and in the gospel, Jesus heals the deaf man. It just tells me to listen to His word and to listen to what He tells me for my life. After Jesus heals the deaf with His own saliva, He tells the deaf man to tell no one, but you know that doesn’t happen. The deaf man “proclaimed” throughout (my word of the year).
