Today is Launch Day!

Today I am launching my blog. It’s a long time coming. Hopefully I can reach many people and inspire them with my crafts and my content. Today is January 1, 2024. When I went outside the front door, I was greeted by the prettiest rose. Shocking on January 1st!

since it is the first day of the year, I have cast on socks. I have also started my first amigurumi of the year, a mouse of my own design. I will add it later to the blog.

I am almost done with the base tree for my temperature tree for 2024. This is a pattern by Stitchin’ Mommy.,

I am still working on my temperature blanket from 2023. I am adding 2 rows of each color in order. It will add 6 inches around. I am looking forward to finishing this year long project even though I actually started it in April.

Here’s to a great year in 2024!

Today’s toy is another crocheted chunky bunny from Ana of http://Www.littlecrochetfarm.com I used the recommended bulky yarn, Walmart’s Mainstays cozy chenille in white. Also, I did the ears written in the pattern. Still I don’t like the short ears. I used blue yarn for the face because I don’t like the black contrast on white….

Today’s toy is a crocheted raccoon lovey. This pattern is by Elisa Sartori. I didn’t realize how big the pattern would be. After the head, I decided there would not be enough yarn, so I crocheted the blanket with different yarns. The yarns used: Hobby Lobby’s soft secret, Big Twist twinkle, and Yarn Art Jeans….

Today’s toy is a knitted giraffe. My design uses Bernat blanket yarn and 5 mm, size 8 knitting needles. I will write up this pattern soon and have video tutorials on YouTube. I will make the neck longer when I write the pattern.

September 11: cat and hat charm

Today’s item is a crocheted purse charm. One end has a black cat with purple collar and the other end has a black hat. Design by Craftingintx. Using Lucky ball acrylic yarn and a 3 mm hook, this was simple to make. The chain between the two is purple.
