February 26, 2024 2nd week Lent
Today’s first reading is from the prophet Daniel and he says that God has compassion & forgiveness and yet we still sin. We are a fallen people. We will never learn. In Psalm 79, it also says “may your compassion come quickly pardon our sins” In the gospel, Jesus is teaching us. He says “be merciful as your Father is merciful” It also says “a good measure packed together shaken down and overflowing will be poured into your lap” weird statement but I like it! When we pray to Mary in church we say, you know that all men sin. We need your spiritual guidance. We need the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout our days! Amen!
