Today’s toy is a crocheted lobster from the pattern Blue Lobster by Spin a Yarn Crochet. I love her rag doll patterns but do not like this lobster pattern. The pinchers in my opinion are not shaped right and the legs are too bulky. This pattern uses bulky “blanket” yarn, so I used the plush yarn from Joann. Still trying to use that up. I just need to find a pattern I like that uses such a large gauge. I used a 6 mm crochet hook.
Today’s toy is a crocheted cow. Design by Lauren Espy, but the longhorn I designed. It has a pipe cleaner in it so it can be shaped. Using Super Saver yarn, Pound of Love yarn, Hobby Lobby’s Yarn ID, and a 3 mm hook, I used colors for UT longhorns. Super cute pattern.

Today’s toy is a crocheted elf doll. Design by the left handed crocheter. Using Big Twist, Red Heart, Hobbii rainbow cotton, and a 3 mm hook, this was fun to make. My trick for jogless joins was recorded but it wasn’t good. I will probably make a boy elf and record again.
