March 4, 2024 3rd week Lent
Today’s first reading is the account of the healing of Naaman in the Jordan river. He asks the prophet why he needs to cleanse himself in THAT river and so many times. But the servants ask him what’s the harm in trying if the result is healing rom leprosy? Trust in God, His timing and His plan for you and me. In the gospel, Jesus tells the people of the synagogue that no prophet is accepted in his native place. He is foreshadowing his death. The people of the synagogue want to throw him from a cliff right then. Jesus passes through the crowd and gets away. It is not His time. Always in God’s time. Amen!
