March 8, 2024 3rd week Lent
Today’s first reading is from the prophet Hosea. He preaches to the Israelites to return to the Lord and repent because God has mercy for those that follow Him. In the gospel, Jesus tells us the greatest commandment, “The Lord our God is Lord alone!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul,
with all your mind,
and with all your strength.
The second is this:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
These two sum up all that we are to do on this earth to prepare for heaven. Amen!
