Today’s first reading is from Jeremiah. He was being persecuted. I think it is foretelling what Jesus must endure. In the gospel, Jesus is still trying to tell the Jews He is the son of God. He has to sneak out again or they will arrest Him. He goes across the Jordan river and many there come to believe in Him. Amen! Very close to Easter now. Next week is the Triduum, the three part/day mass, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday.
