March 30: Bunny doll

Today’s toy is Cynthia, a crocheted little bunny doll, pattern by Serah Basnet. I used many different yarns for this doll, mainly for the colors. Mainstays cotton, Scheepjes Catona cotton, Yarn Bee soft secret. The white, red, black, pink, and green colors were acrylic minis from Amazon. I often add a shell border to the hems of skirts for my dolls, just a feminine touch. Added a flower to the bunny hat. The directions were not clear for sewing the front of the ear to the back of the ear. Since the back of the ear has 5 more DCs, you have to sew two DCs to each of the five DCs of the front of the ear.

April 23: elephant

Today’s toy is a crocheted elephant . This pattern is from Esther Graafland, studiomadelaine.com. Using Hobby lobby Adore-a-Ball in pink white and a 4 mm hook, I just slipped stitched the pieces together. The tail was missing so I chained six. I also designed a knitted version coming soon.

June 8: Gigi raccoon

Today’s toy is a crocheted raccoon lovey. This pattern is by Elisa Sartori. I didn’t realize how big the pattern would be. After the head, I decided there would not be enough yarn, so I crocheted the blanket with different yarns. The yarns used: Hobby Lobby’s soft secret, Big Twist twinkle, and Yarn Art Jeans….
