April 4, 2024 Thursday in the Octave of Easter
Still the Easter season! Rejoice! Jesus has risen! Amen! Alleluia! In the first reading, Peter addressed the crowd after healing a man in the name of Jesus. He explained what they did to Jesus and that he fulfilled the promises the prophets spoke of in the Old Testament. In the gospel, it follows the reading yesterday of the road to Emmaus, where the disciples encounter Jesus. Today, Jesus appeared to the disciples again in His form and let them look at His hands and feet. He eats in front of them to indicate that He is not a ghost. So that they come to believe. Believe in the gospel! Amen!
