July 27: duck

Today’s toy is a crocheted mallard duck. Design by Sweet Softies. Using multiple acrylic yarns and a 3 mm hook, I just used what I had to get the correct colors. This is a great pattern that I have used many times. When I made Lauren’s duck, I just had to make the smaller version.

July 26: Santa gnome

Today’s toy is a crocheted Santa gnome, or gonk. Design by Hooked by Kati. Using Bernat’s holiday cotton, Red Heart super saver, Hobby Lobby’s Yarn ID, and a 3 mm hook, I love making Christmas items. It is joyful to use Christmas colors and sparkle yarn. The Bernat yarn is cotton with sparkle, the red…

Today’s toy is Barry the bass, a crocheted fish. This design is by Theresa’s crochet shop. Using Bernat blanket and a 4.5 mm hook, this fish was fun to make. The construction with the mouth inside the fish was a great design. There were many pieces that I think could be done with surface crochet….

July 19: cow

Today’s toy is a crocheted cow. Design by Lauren Espy, but the longhorn I designed. It has a pipe cleaner in it so it can be shaped. Using Super Saver yarn, Pound of Love yarn, Hobby Lobby’s Yarn ID, and a 3 mm hook, I used colors for UT longhorns. Super cute pattern.

July 18: horse

Today’s toy is a crocheted horse. I thought I would make a zebra with the monkey lovey pattern. The hexagon body is so good! I used a marl yarn, Bernat blanket, and my family agreed that a zebra needs stripes, so this is a horse. Using Bernat blanket and a 4.5 mm hook, this toy…
