February 8: knitted striped bear
Today’s toy is a knitted bear. I unraveled two squares I had crocheted in the variegated yarn and black. These squares were supposed to look like stained glass, but mine didn’t look that way. I would not have done anything with them, so rip it, rip it, rip it! This yarn is never ending! I striped the bear because I had both yarns on hand. This pattern is Teddy Bear Toy from Red Heart Design Team, a free pattern, using a 5 mm knitting needle. This bear was knitted flat and then seamed. I don’t mind seaming. Because of the striping, when I sewed the ear shaping, it looks more like cat ears. Oh well…
