March 6: bloom bear

Today’s toy is a knitted bear. The pattern is from Premier yarn company in order to use their Bloom yarn. I have knitted this bear previously with another yarn, but this time I used the recommended yarn, Bloom in the color Tulip. Love this yarn! The pattern calls for two balls of yarn, but I used less than one, probably since I used a smaller needle size. I like the fabric to be tight so it doesn’t show stuffing. The bear works up quickly. The pattern calls for buttons on the jointed legs, but I just used yarn. Knitted with size 6, 4 mm needles, this bear is knit flat and seamed. There is a lot of seaming. My sister enjoyed the picture of the bear with her hands up.
