May 15: owl
Today’s toy is another knitted owl from my design. Using Hobbii’s honey bunny candy, it made a much larger toy. I used 4 mm needles. I enjoy making birds. The beak was edged in white so it would be visible.

Today’s toy is a knitted bunny with wire ears. I made up the pattern from a picture I saw, but it didn’t turn out very well. The ears are pipe cleaners, so you can shape them. They look like the old tv antennas. Using Big twist in white and black, DMC floss for the nose,…

Today’s toy is a knitted bluebird of happiness designed by Sara Elizabeth Kellner. Using Hobby Lobby’s I love this yarn Print and size 2 needles, this pattern is very clever in its short rows and increases. Great pattern! This in number 3 for the year.
Today’s toy is a knitted mouse from Jean Greenhowe. Using Hobbii’s friends 8/4 cotton and Scheepjes catona and size 2 needles, this was fun to make. Many pieces to sew on and I fluffed out the cotton with a wire brush. That was painful to my fingers.
