Again we read from Revelation in the daily mass. Today, it is said to have zeal for the word, keep the commandments. Keep your garments white, from the Spirit. Do not be lukewarm.

In the gospel, the head tax collector just wants to see Jesus pass by, so he climbs a sycamore tree. Jesus knows this and calls him by name. He said that he will eat with him. People were stunned. Jesus dining with sinners? The tax collector did say that he would return the money, give half his possessions to the poor. It was a conversion for him. Let us all turn to the Lord with the help of the Holy Spirit! Amen!
