February 11: knitted love bug

Today’s toy is a knitted love bug. I used Bernat sparkle yarn and Big twist value yarn to knit and crochet this bug. I also used Hobbii’s cotton 8/8 for the white hearts. The back of the bug was knitted using the pi percentage of increasing then after the 7 of 8 rounds, I bound off. Then I crocheted into the bind off with the black to decrease for the bottom of the bug. The legs and head were added on a round at the edge of the black. White was added for little hearts around the red dome and then I chained a strip to sew down on top in the shape of a heart. I used the white to add eyes on the black head. I will not write this pattern.
